Who we are

“In life one of the few constants is change. In our own lives or in shared community and work practices, change is all around us. As is the challenge to bring fresh ideas and perspectives to the management of the transition from today to tomorrow.

Communication has a key role to play: putting the risk of a new COVID vaccine into perspective or explaining the rewards of new, more efficient ways of working. New initiatives are always needed in generating the dialogue which leads to new ways of behaving. Change will always be resisted: communication provides the bridge between the old and the new. An honest broker between those promoting change and those expected to implement it.

There is no simple answer to every challenging situation. No country, company or communicator has the one-way-fits-all template. It doesn’t exist. But someone, somewhere has already faced a similar problem. Successful change management programmes can be found in every field – in business for example, to deliver a new technology implementation, to explain the consequences of a merger of acquisition, change in leadership and organizational culture. By collaborating in sharing our experience across countries and cultures together we can deliver sustainable business competitiveness and resilience.

The World Innovation and Change Management Institute has been created to provide the global forum for cooperation to advance these, our mutual interests”

Purpose

Our world and we, the people who populate it, are beset by problems. Some, such as the impacts of climate change, we share. Others affect us more as individuals – disparities in wealth, education and health provision. Only by changing what we do and how we do it can these problems be addressed. Only by working together can we make a difference. The key to making these changes is innovation – in thinking, in effective implementation.

The World Innovation and Change Management Institute aims to be a catalyst for change by providing a global forum accessible by organisations and individuals managing change. This can be achieved on three levels:

RECOGNITION
The World Innovation and Change Management Institute is launching the Prosperity Awards to honour those organisations and individuals who are leading the way in their fields across the world. Complementing the Prosperity Awards is an internationally recognised certification programme.
SHARING
The World Innovation and Change Management Institute provides the opportunity to network with peers, bridging language and cultural differences, to share knowledge and experience. The web offers myriad ways to connect digitally while WICMI conferences will provide the opportunity for face-to-face networking.
EDUCATION
In collaboration with the distinguished international experts leading its panels in the fields of business, communication, education, environment, governance, health, people, technology and data, the World Innovation and Change Management Institute, is in a unique position to organise education events (webinars, on-line courses and panels) to share ideas, experience of what worked and what didn’t and provide mutual support.

Change is constant. By being alert to how society is responding, the World Innovation and Change Management Institue will be able to share best practice in meeting challenges, old and new. Our goal is simple: to build a network connecting those that have excelled in initiatives to adjust to their new environment.

Our Commitment to Sustainable Development Goals
The ambition of the World Innovation and Change Management Institute is to contribute to the achievement of the United Nation’s Sustainable Development Goals in the fields of education, communication, health, business, technology and data, people, policy, and the environment.

Mission

Our mission is simple – to be a global vehicle for sharing best practice in innovation and change management through education and networking opportunities. By recognizing best practice, connecting thought leaders and practitioners, we enable organisations large and small to share innovative business practices, solutions and products and navigate the often pot-holed road to achieve new objectives.

Vision

As a driver of change, the World Innovation and Change Management Institute will reflect the diversity of approach of bodies – international, national and local – corporations and companies, countries, cultures and individuals to reaching an accommodation with a new environment. By better understanding the practice of managing change and innovation, we aim to contribute to achieving sustainable businesses and communities.

Values
Respect for core values drives success.
Responsibility
Socially responsible business practices are those which benefit individuals, a community, or the environment. The World Innovation and Change Management Institute aims to lead by example.
Representation
One size does not fit all. By engaging across continents and cultures, the World Innovation and Change Management Institute creates real opportunities to engage in the rewarding process of learning, sharing knowledge, and making a positive impact.
Co-operation
The global community, which the World Innovation and Change Management Institute is a part of, aims, through teamwork characterized by real and transparent dialogue, business ethics, and integrity, to develop and share best practice in implementing change.
Lifelong Learning
Education is a never-ending process. Sharing knowledge and know-how is our goal. Lifelong learning provides the tools for addressing today’s challenges, delivers the practical grounding for personal and professional development.
